 1

9" WIDE

Open up the box carefully. Cut off the top flaps shown in pink on figure 2.

 2

Your box will now look like figure 3.

 3

Measure up 5" from bottom of box ( not including flaps)

on the left side of the box and put a mark there. Do this again on the right side. Cut straight across the two end flaps stopping at fold line. Draw a line from fold line from the 5" cut to first fold line on the top of the box on both sides. Cut off the areas shown in pink in figure 4.

 4

Your box will now look like figure 5.

 5

Measure the box across the width while lying flat and open. Use this width plus 1" of fabric by 11".

Example; If the box is 24" wide. You will need a piece of fabric that is

25" x 11". Do not include bottom flaps.

Using the box as a template raise the fabric ½" higher than the box. Cut the fabric ½" larger than the box shape on the top and sides. Fold under ½" of the fabric to the wrong side. Clip the two inner corners and the two top outer corners. Press down.

 6

Using white glue brush all over the outside of box not including bottom flaps. Lay your fabric on the box wrong side facing the box keeping ½" of the fabric above the top and sides of the box. Smooth out any wrinkles gently. Flip box over and fold the extra 1/2" of fabric over to the inside of the box. Glue down.

 7

Measure the top part of the inside of the box shown in pink in figure 8. Add 1/2" to this measurement all around. Cut a second piece of fabric to this measurement. Clip the two top corners.

 8

Fold in ½" all around to wrong side of fabric and glue down as in figure 9. Glue this piece of fabric to the inside of the box wrong side down on box. Clip end corners to fix box. Smooth out wrinkles carefully. Let fabric dry well before next step.

 9

Lay box down inside to table. Brush glue on the right side tab as in figure 10. Fold box together placing right side tab under the left side tab. Use a clothespin to hold tabs together till they dry.

Bottom flaps:

Fold the two small tabs in first. Brush a little glue on the outside

of the tabs. Fold one the longer tabs onto the two smaller ones.

Brush some glue over this tab and fold the last tab onto it. Turn your box right side up and place a heavy object inside the box until the glue on the flaps dry.
